Doors are opening inside McClatchy’s Washington Bureau. Bureau Chief James Asher sent a recent memo to staff detailing upcoming changes. First and foremost, David Goldstein — who basically walks on water — will be one of the bureau’s new assigning editors. His creativity knows no bounds. What’s more, they’ve hired WaPo‘s Anita Kumar to cover the White House. She’s tasked with finding a place to live in Washington before she begins on Aug. 20. Since 2007 she has been covering Virginia state politics.
