What we almost missed today…

• Just in time for the weekend, NBC’s Domenico Montanaro (with the help of trusty producer Andrew Gross) looks ahead to next week.

• How big of a sports fan is Fox News’ Chris Wallace? WaPo finds out here.

• White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers is on the cover of WSJ magazine. And apparently, from WWD, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs vetoed a shot of Rogers in an Oscar de la Renta ballgown in the First Lady’s garden, according to the story.

100 Days and 100 Beautiful People

People mag.jpg

As you’ve likely heard, People Magazine debuted its “World’s Most Beautiful People” issue today.

News media folks that made the cut this year are CBS’ Katie Couric, NBC’s Natalie Morales, NBC’s Meredith Vieira and ET’s Mary Hart.

Though Washington wasn’t represented by any media folk(Fingers crossed: Dornic-Delargy 2010), the White House snagged quite a few spots for the city.

White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers, White House Speechwriter Jon Favreau, Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner, White House Chef Sam Kass, Personal Aide Reggie Love and First Lady Michelle Obama are all representing our fair city on this year’s list…

More Prom Dates…

Glamour magazine fittingly nabbed White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers, who is also a special guest at the Capitol File after party (with Valerie Jarrett and dinner entertainment headliner Wanda Sykes).

Also at Glamour’s table: Narciso Rodriguez, Alicia Keys, Kenneth Cole, Kerry Washington and the Vice President’s daughter, Ashley Biden.

People Magazine is bringing Sting and Trudie Styler, Miranda Cosgrove, Brooke Shields and Chris Henchy, Eva Longoria Parker, Kevin Bacon, Ludacris, Jon Hamm and Forest Whitaker.

Fortune will host George Lucas and Glenn Close (far better than last year’s Heidi and Spencer).

The Atlantic has invited Newt Gingrich and “Gossip Girl” star Ed Westwick.

WWD also reports The Atlantic will host a Friday night dinner and a pre-dinner cocktail reception at the Hilton, co-hosted by the National Journal Group and ABC.
