Roll Call Loses Deputy Editor
FishbowlDC has confirmed that Erin Billings has resigned from her post at Roll Call. Currently the publication’s deputy editor, Billings has been with Roll Call for nearly a decade. She joined the paper’s team in 2001 as a staff writer and in 2004 became a senior writer covering House and Senate leadership. Prior to joining Roll Call, she worked as a statehouse reporter in Helena, Montana.
We understand that Billings has accepted another job but have not yet confirmed her next move. We’ll update as we find out more.
UPDATE: Billings is joining BGR Public Relations as vice president. BGR’s Jeff Birnbaum told FishbowlDC by email, “I could not be happier to have her here as we build a truly successful, Washington-based PR practice. She begins next month.”
Memo announcing Billings’s departure from Roll Call‘s Scott Montgomery after the jump.
