RADIO

Air America’s Jack Rice will be broadcasting live next week from Guantanamo Bay. His show “Live in Washington” airs weekdays from 12-3pmET and he’ll also be filing for the web.

Tomorrow Smithsonian magazine is offering free admission to museums nationwide for Museum Day 2009. Just print out this pass.

Atlantic‘s David Bradley and his co-sponsors, the Aspen Institute and the Newseum, are convening a “First Draft of History” conference next Thursday and Friday. We’ve reported on this and will be covering next week. Slate’s Jack Shafer‘s take.

We told you yesterday about Air America’s interview with Todd Purdum. If you missed it, you can listen online here. Purdum discussed Palin’s unpredictability, her lack of curiosity and her “casual” relationship with the truth, all characteristics that came out in last fall’s presidential campaign, and gained traction in recent days as she announced her resignation. As Purdum told Air America’s Jack Rice, “She really is willing to say that black is white and day is night.”

She wrote: “Mr. Jackson received days of wall-to-wall coverage in the media. Where was the coverage of my nephew or the other soldiers who died that week?”

Speaking of Purdum’s Palin article- it is a hit for VF, generating just under two million page views in six days, according to Peter Kafka‘s MediaMemo.

In the latest round of Levi vs. Sarah, as described by the NY Post, Levi Johnston may be looking to write a Palin tell-all. According to Page Six: “Until the tell-all is released, though, Johnston is considering “a leading role” in a movie and a possible upcoming TV “docu-drama.”
