Whoever says a penny won’t get you anywhere, probably wasn’t on the guest list for CNN’s private party following the Congressional Correspondents Dinner last night.  While most attendees of the dinner trickled out of the ballroom for an obligatory nightcap at the NCTA reception, the lucky few holding one of CNN’s lucky pennies (left) partied the night away at Lincoln. Guests at the top-secret fete were treated to live music, an open bar and  a sneak preview of the glam resto-lounge set to open its doors to the public in mid-April.  CNN’s Piers Morgan, Edie Emery, Jill Chappell, Jennifer Scoggins, Sam Feist, Michelle Jaconi, Megan Grant, Christa Robinson, Peter Hamby, Alexander Mooney, Jeff Simon, Peter Morris, Evan Glass and Ed Hornick entertained dinner guests and friends of the network until well after midnight.  Spotted mingling on the copper penny-tiled floors were Embassy of Poland’s Art Orkisz, Victoria Michael, AAA’s Peter Nonis, ABC News’ John Hendren, WaPo‘s Amy Argetsinger and WJLA’s Philip Stewart and Rebecca Cooper.
