The dining room, meanwhile, had its own plateful of D.C. V.I.P.’s — former White House Press Sec. Anthony Weiner (D-Penistown), Rep. In the foyer was a male guest with a neck beard (see pictures after the jump), Rep. Doris Matsui (D-Calif.), lobbyist Jack Quinn and wife, Susanna, Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) and outgoing Sec. of State Hilary Clinton‘s former Chief of Staff Melanne Verveer.

It was the kitchen, however, that was the apparent nerve center of Bradley’s house. With beautiful creamy couches and a blazing fireplace, and the surprisingly down-to-earth Bradley in the corner chatting up guests, it was there where we spied on Judd mingling with D.C. insiders such as HuffPost‘s Howard Fineman, who wore a bright pink tie and signature mane of longish silver locks, Bloomberg View‘s Margaret Carlson. Judd was accompanied by an unidentified partially balding man. Also roaming the kitchen was Fineman’s sister, Elizabeth Schroeter, in from Colorado. Asked about her brother, Schroeter said he was a “really good guy.” Judd, with a red flower in her hair, struck various poses throughout the night. Most noteworthy, however, was her stick straight posture, even when sitting, and her ability to stick her chest out when engaged in casual conversation. Let’s just say she was well aware that flashbulbs were capturing her every move.

Out on the enclosed patio were more guests to gawk at and grill.

TIME magazine hosted in New York last night the TIME 100 Gala to honor their annual  list of  the “100 Most Influential People in the World.”  This year’s list included domestic political figures such as Barack Obama, Chris Christie, Cory Booker, Gabrielle Giffords, General David Petraeus, Hilary Rodham Clinton, Joe Biden, John Boehner, Margaret Woodward, Michele Bachman, and Paul Ryan.  While the full list wasn’t in attendance last night, TIME managed to pull a huge number of notable names who helped create some very memorable moments.

One such moment was came when Governor Chris Christie who gave the first toast of the night to John F. Kennedy saying, “And so tonight, the person I’d like us to toast first, who has influenced my public life from the first time my grandmother took me to the museum of broadcasting in New York and showed me the inaugural address … John Fitzgerald Kennedy, I’d like us to raise our glasses, fifty years after his election and inauguration as the 35th president of the United States, and an inspiration to this Jersey Boy to think that politics in life not only was possible, but could be meaningful and change the world. To President John Fitzgerald Kennedy.”

The unlikely duo of Michele Bachmann and Chris Matthews (pictured) were spotted chatting and posing for pictures while a slew of political and media figures mixed and mingled at Lincoln Center.  Attendees included Richard Stengel, Fareed Zakaria, Joe Klein, Mark Halperin, Gayle King, Anna Kendrick, Mayor Cory Booker, Christiane Amanpour, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Meghan McCain, Harvey Weinstein, Ann Coulter, and Brian Williams among others.

What is your biggest impression of the campaign trail? You know how people say Washington is out of touch – no matter who is in charge? The Beltway IS a bubble. Joe Klein took a similar road trip and wrote about it in his cover story for TIME; he said his personal Beltway Bubble “turns out to be more a state of mind and a set of habits than an actual place.” He’s right.

Describe your stay in Portland. It’s a lot bigger than expected. Coffee shops, nice people, outdoorsy, rainy, full of character. On Saturday we asked a hotel clerk how long it was supposed to rain, and her good-natured response was, “Probably till May.”

How have the campaign staffs treated you? In Oregon, they’re all delightful. Campaign staffs in most areas we’ve been are generally very helpful. Talking to staff in person is always better than on the phone.

What have you been eating/drinking there? We’ve been in wine country for several days, which is fine with me. Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir have never been favorites of mine, though, but they are big up here in the Pacific Northwest and pretty good here. My colleague, Scott Conroy, makes fun of me because my favorite beverage is milk, and I can’t get enough of it. Scott drinks IPA almost exclusively. We’ve eaten a lot of oysters and a lot of junk.
