Apologies for the delay. The response to our contest was overwhelming. Thanks to all who played and replied by the 5 p.m. deadline. (Many readers rolled in with correct answers up until 5:52 p.m. and a few incorrectly guessed Iran and Pakistan.)

The photograph below shows a then and now shot of the woman. Reports say she lives with her husband and three daughters in a remote region of Afghanistan.
