Crappy Commute Stories Return to WTOP

Time again to turn all that road rage into a reward.

For the second time, WTOP is rewarding listeners for their miserable morning commutes with “Commuter Idle,” a competition to see who has the worst trek from home to work.

WTOP launched the contest this time last year. The winner then was surprisingly not one of D.C.’s garbage men, who literally have to put up with shit while commuting. We were going to say a cross between Tammy Faye Baker and The Joker, but that’s just us.

NEW PD for WTOP – Washington, D.C. powerhouse radio station, WTOP, added to its lineup today as they announced Laurie Cantillo will join them as their Program Director. Cantillo most recently worked for talk radio station WABC in New York City. This marks a major change in the way that WTOP will operate. Up until this decision, VP of News and Programming, Jim Farley, has always called the shots at station. WTOP created the position of Program Director just for Cantillo. This is a move that will put Farley in charge of the station’s efforts to evolve and grow on the mobile medium.

Twitter TroubleRoll Call’s Harvard fellow Christina Bellantoni shook up the Twitterverse with this message last night:

Could it be? Were Republicans ready to throw Christine O’Donnell into the primary? Not even close. After shockwaves rippled through Bellantoni’s Twitter, she quickly corrected herself to say:
