New XM Deal For Bob Edwards – 2/8 – DC-based XM Satellite Radio re-signs public radio icon Bob Edwards (right) to a multi-year deal. Edwards will continue to host the XM Public Radio (XM-133) channel’s flagship program, “The Bob Edwards Show.” Terms were not disclosed. In 2004, Edwards jumped from DC-based National Public Radio to XM. Edwards says he appreciates the “creative freedom afforded me by XM to pursue stories that might never have been aired by traditional terrestrial broadcasters.
