Polo Sandoval Joins CNN

Paul Crum, CNN’s vice president of news operations, administration and affiliate services announced today that Polo Sandoval will join CNN Newsource as a national correspondent based in Washington, D.C. CNN Newsource is CNN’s syndicated news distribution service for its affiliates. Prior to joining CNN, Sandoval was the Bureau Chief for the Hidalgo County Border Bureau for KRGV-ABC in Texas. Last year, he covered the on-going breaking news at the fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas.  He has also reported from both the Democratic and Republican national conventions in 2008 and 2012.

CNN’s Latest New Hire: Sunlen Miller

CNN has hired Sunlen Miller as a national correspondent.

The news was announced today by Paul Crum, Veep of News Operations, Administration and Affiliate Services.

Most recently, Miller worked as a White House and Senate reporter for ABC News.

“Sunlen is a journalist well-versed in the politics and particulars of Washington,” said Crum in a release. “Her first-class journalistic style and passion for distinctive news will continue the momentum of CNN Newsource.”

CNN Newsource Gets New Washington Correspondent

René Marsh joins CNN Newsource from WSVN in Miami, Florida, as a national correspondent serving more than 800 affiliates. Paul Crum, V.P. of news operations for CNN/U.S., announced the news today. Marsh will cover breaking news and topical stories for CNN’s affiliates.

She will be based in Washington and will report from locations throughout the U.S.

Marsh was a general assignment reporter in Miami. Before that she was an investigative reporter for CBS 6 in Albany, N.Y. She graduated with honors from Binghamton University and holds a master’s in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

    Samantha Hayes is joining CNN Newsource’s Washington, D.C., bureau, it was announced today by Paul Crum, executive director of news operations, administration and affiliate services for CNN/U.S.

    Hayes will serve as a national correspondent and will report live from the scene of breaking news events and from the nation’s capital, providing live reports for more than 800 CNN Newsource partner stations. In particular, Hayes will report extensively on the political affairs in Washington and the race to the next presidential election.
