CNN Announces Promotions in D.C. Bureau

CNN Washington Bureau Chief Sam Feist has announced that the network is promoting some of its Washington-based correspondents. Those impacted include Jessica Yellin, Brianna Keilar, Jim Acosta and Rene Marsh.

“With these changes, CNN’s Washington team of correspondents will be even better positioned to deliver on our core missions of breaking news and enterprise reporting,” said Feist in a morning release. “As CNN continues to grow its newsgathering capabilities, we are thrilled to have such an outstanding group of correspondents to move into these key roles.”

CNN Newsource Gets New Washington Correspondent

René Marsh joins CNN Newsource from WSVN in Miami, Florida, as a national correspondent serving more than 800 affiliates. Paul Crum, V.P. of news operations for CNN/U.S., announced the news today. Marsh will cover breaking news and topical stories for CNN’s affiliates.

She will be based in Washington and will report from locations throughout the U.S.

Marsh was a general assignment reporter in Miami. Before that she was an investigative reporter for CBS 6 in Albany, N.Y. She graduated with honors from Binghamton University and holds a master’s in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
