David Chalian to Yahoo! News
PBS NewsHour’s Political Editor David Chalian has been hired as Yahoo! News‘s Washington Bureau Chief. He begins Nov. 14. Yahoo announced the news on their website at about 2 a.m. this morning.
“We reach more than 150 million voting age adults in the U.S. every month. That’s almost 90 percent of eligible voters and twice the number that actually cast ballots for president in 2008,” said Executive Editor Will Tacy. “With David at the helm, we intend to redefine how political campaigns are covered to make this crucial national decision relevant and interesting to every one of those 150 million Americans.”
Before joining PBS, Chalian was a member of the ABC News political unit for seven years, where he was political director from 2007 until 2010. He’s a Northwestern University graduate. He resides in Washington.
