The Atlantic to Host Talk Between Two Women
The Atlantic is hosting an event on Nov. 9 that will focus, in part, on the Women of Washington.
Underwritten by Exxon Mobil, the Women of Washington series plans to address topics from a woman’s point of view. The talk “will explore how education initiatives, including those in STEM fields, will spark innovation in the American economy – influencing energy technology, the health care sector, and beyond,” reads the invitation. The program at the Newseum begins at 3:30 p.m., and will feature a conversation between Shirley Ann Jackson, President of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and “Washington journalist” Margaret Carlson, followed by an audience Q&A. The program will conclude promptly at 5:30 p.m.
Carlson is a columnist for Bloomberg News. The invitation does not mention Bloomberg whatsoever.
