The Atlantic Wire Seeks Opinionated Executive Editor

Those with a love of news and op-ed pieces will be happy to hear that the Atlantic Wire is looking for an executive editor for its D.C. office.

If you land the gig, you’ll be responsible for the site’s editorial quality, direction and voice. You’ll also be managing a staff of 15 writers, editors, producers and interns, one-third of which will be hired in 2011. You will play an integral role in that hiring process, while developing strategy and new initiatives for the site.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of editorial experience with an online focus, and have a full-range of knowledge on major debates, news and opinion journalism.
