The City Paper’s Continued Trimming

Looks like more bad news for the Washington City Paper.

Following the purchase of alt-weekly by Creative Loafing in 2007, some cuts were made. DCist recently heard that more layoffs were coming down the line and now FishbowlDC has learned that, although no layoffs have been announced yet (“seems likely” said one source), the paper is losing its District Line column and that cover stories will be phased out. Looks like staffers will spend more time blogging.
