The Deal With “Tucker”

Lots of buzz this morning about an FTVLive report claiming that MSNBC has “quietly canceled” Tucker Carlson’s show (you’ll recall that the New York Times reported yesterday that the show is in danger of being canceled).

We decided to ask Tucker, who said that, if the report is true, he’s not been told of any such news by MSNBC.

Re: this tidbit in the FTVLive item….

    [A]ccording to NBC insiders, Tucker Carlson took a huge pay cut (almost half) and somehow stayed on the air at NBC cable outlet. Carlson’s agent shopped him for other gigs, including a game show and sitcoms, trying to make up for the money NBC took from his pay.

…Tucker called it “complete and utter bullshit.”

As for FTVLive’s claim that “Peacock insiders tell FTVLive that you won’t see his show again on MSNBC,” we’ll just have to wait and see…
