FB Head.jpg

53477646.jpg Say hello to WaPo’s Anne Kornblut, White House correspondent and author of Notes From the Cracked Ceiling.

If you were a carbonated beverage which would you be? Orangina.

How often do you Google yourself? Never. And I’ve tried getting my mother to stop, too.

Who would you rather have dinner with – First Lady Michelle Obama or Bestselling Author and former V.P. candidate Sarah Palin? Both, together!

When did you last cry and why? At the end of “500 Days of Summer,” no explanation needed!

Who do you prefer for daytime talk, Dr. Phil, Oprah, Tyra or the women of The View? You think I ever get to watch daytime talk!?

If you were trapped on a deserted island, which public official would you want to be trapped with and why? US Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus. I feel like he could get us rescued, and it might make up for my failure to join years ago.

Who was your mentor? My 11th grade English teacher, Sally Alexander. Larry Hackett, now at People magazine. David Shribman and Matt Storin at The Boston Globe. Many others.

What’s the best advice you ever received in the course of your career? Everybody knows something sometime.

What and where was your first job in journalism? As an assistant to Stephen Pollan, aka CNBC’s “Answer Man,” and then as an intern at the New York Daily News.

What’s your most embarrassing career moment? I have failed to recognize some famous people. Too embarrassing to recount.
