The Hill Honored, Hugo Gloats

Today’s staff memo from The Hill’s EIC Hugo Gurdon…does anyone else unwittingly read Gurdon’s memos in a British accent?

I am pleased to tell you all that once again The Hill has massively outperformed its competitors, with a big haul of prizes from the Society of Professional Journalists.

This is the fourth year in a row in which we have outperformed in the distribution of awards. The SPJ will recognize nine great pieces of work that appeared in The Hill during 2008, one of the hottest political years ever.

It’s a tribute to the excellent work you do. Thank you for making the paper and website such a success.
