The White House pool received a very important FLOTUS fashion update this morning.  Apparently Michelle Obama‘s pants were misidentified as denim in an earlier report.  Luckily, WaPo’s Krissah Thompson was on the case and sent the below correction, describing the First Lady’s pants as “navy blue.”

Moments later, a loud “PHEW” was heard around the world as the international fashion community breathed a collective sigh of relief.  Unfortunately, the sloppy reporting and rumblings of a  possible threat of mom jeans caused the nation’s style alert level to jump from code yellow to orange.
