Toast of the Town: Corke’s Goodbye DC, Hello Miami Party
Former NBC White House correspondent Kevin Corke said adios to DC and hola to South Beach with a Latin-inspired celebration at Lima last night. He’s moving to Miami for a gig as NBC 6/WTVJ’s main anchor.
The party was hosted by Corke’s former NBC colleagues Kerri Forrest, Allison Kaminsky Putala and yours truly, Christine Delargy, and his former ESPN colleague Melissa Jacobs, who’s now blogging at TheFootballGirl.com.
A big contingency from Corke’s NBC days came out, including former NBC Washington bureau chief Wendy Wilkinson, former NBC correspondent Jeannie Ohm, former White House producer Tammy Kupperman Thorp and Sarah Irwin, who’s now at Reuters, as well as plenty of current NBC-ers like Luke Russert and prods Carl Sears and Adam Verdugo.
Some friends from the White House press corps were also in attendance: ABC’s John Hendren, Reuters’ Jon Decker, CNN’s Suzanne Malveaux and Kathleen Koch and Politico‘s Nia-Malika Henderson, as well as Tony Fratto and Stuart Siciliano from the Bush White House.
Also: Pamela Punch’s Pamela Sorensen (check out her write-up here), Neil Grace, Democratic strategist Chris Kofinis, CBS’ Kaylee Hartung and Frank Thorp, and a strong showing from Corke’s frat brothers!
