Twitter Correction Affects Follower Counts

Yesterday Twitter announced that they’d be correcting follower counts and “just cleaning up artifacts in the system”.

Is this Twitter-speak for “perve purge?” Let’s see how some of our favorite feeds were affected over the last 24 hours. It’s a good excuse to kick off a weekly ranking of followings, too.

CQ Politics – 17,896 (down from 18,219)

Politico – 15,421 (up from 15,357)

The Hill – 11,964 (up from 11,908)

Politico 44 – 7,119 (down from 7,173)

Roll Call – 6,828 (down from 6,860)

The Hill Tweets – 2,785 (down from 2,894)

Politico Arena – 946 (down from 971)

National Journal – 779 (down from 813)

The Hill Congress Blog – 700 (down from 711)

Congress Daily – 333 (down from 344)

3121 – 76 (down from 79)
