USA Today’s Lindsey to Reuters

This just in…

Reuters announcing that USA Today cover story editor David Lindsey is moving to Reuters‘ D.C. bureau to be Washington Editor-at Large.

UPDATE: The internal memo from Thomson Reuters Bureau Chief Mary Milliken: “It gives me great pleasure to announce that one of Washington’s most accomplished  journalists, David Lindsey, will be joining Reuters as Washington Editor-at-Large, focusing on the top political and policy stories of the day, including the 2012 Elections. He will start on November 28 and will report to me. David comes to us after more than a decade at USA Today, where he was first National Editor and then, since 2007, Cover Story Editor, overseeing the newspaper’s premier enterprise package each day for print, online and mobile. Before that he had a 13-year career at The Washington Post, where he served as DC and Virginia political editor, Metro editor and reporter on Capitol Hill, among other assignments. David has a proven talent for making top stories journalistically strong, visually appealing and targeted to core audiences. We relish the prospect of him doing the same at Reuters.  Please join me in giving David a very warm welcome to Reuters and wishing him much success in this new challenge.”
