Van Susteren the Prankster?

Yesterday we told you about Greta Van Susteren‘s ‘reply all’ to a State Department pool report by CNN producer Elise Labott. Greta’s email said “this pool report is a lie,” referring to the Labott’s claim that the pool was “wheels up to Seoul.” Claiming her friend at Fox News was just being a prankster, Labott responded to the email chain last night:

Subject: About last night’s wheels up from Dheli

I’ve gotten many emails about the wheels up from last night – thanks to the ever hilarious Greta V.

Let’s you think your pooler isn’t giving the most real time information, I emailed you as we were taxing on what seemed to be the worlds longest runway. So Greta decided to have some fun. Plus she can’t spell the word taxiing or runway and so substituted word airport.

She meant it as a joke between two friends who haven’t slept in 72 hours on this trip

So sorry if there was any confusion. But Greta has dropped off the trip now so there will be no more pranks!
