Washington Independent Scribe Moves Into the ‘Danger Room’

The Washington Independent’s Spencer Ackerman is making the daring leap to Wired.com after two and a half years at the publication. He will write for a blog called the “Danger Room.”

Best wishes to Ackerman.

Read his farewell note to co-workers after the jump…

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the impersonal email, but I wanted to let you know that after two and a half very fulfilling years with the Washington Independent, I’m excited to start a new job on Monday covering national security for Wired.com’s excellent Danger Room blog. I’ll still be based in DC and will be bugging all you guys with annoying frequency under the flimsy cover of professional diligence. Only now I’ll be reachable at spencerackerman@gmail.com until my new professional email gets established, hopefully by early next month. Either way, I’ll be at the other end of those email addresses from now on. My mobile phone number remains BLANK, my GoogleChat remains BLANK, my Skype remains BLANK and my AIM, true as ever, is still BLANK.

Thanks very much, and I look forward to being in touch soon as I begin this new phase in my career. Check us out at www.wired.com/dangerroom.

Best,
Spencer
