WBJ Announces New Managing Editor

The Washington Business Journal recently lost its Managing Editor Liz Drachman. WBJ Editor Doug Fruehling has announced that Rob Terry will replace her. Terry comes to the Journal from The Daily Record, a daily business/law newspaper in Baltimore.

He begins on May 13.

Hello all –

I’m am very pleased to announce that Rob Terry will become our new managing editor, replacing Liz Drachman.

Rob is currently managing editor for online and special pubs at The Daily Record, a daily business/law newspaper in Baltimore. Before that, he worked as associate editor at the Baltimore Business Journal from 2006-2010. He previously covered tech and biotech at the BBJ and worked at The Washington Post’s Techway magazine, where he worked with Vandana Sinha.

Rob has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Towson State and his master’s in journalism from Northeastern University in Boston. Rob, who grew up in the Bowie area, lives with his wife and three young children in Columbia.

He will begin his WBJ tenure on Friday, May 13.
