WETA Eliminates 29 Positions

WBJ’s Tierney Plumb reports that WETA cut 13 percent of its workforce this week to save the public broadcaster $2.5 million in annual expenses.

A total of 29 full- and part-time positions were eliminated. There were 15 employees laid off and 14 vacant positions affected, which will remain unfilled.

WETA tells FBDC that the cuts announced Tuesday are all non-production positions.
