White House Goof

The White House press office made an error today and sent out an email announcing that Robert Gibbs would be leading today’s briefing. They wrote:

1:00PM   Briefing by Press Secretary Robert Gibbs

They didn’t mean to slight the new spokesman, Jay Carney. Five minutes later they sent out a corrected e-mail.

UPDATE: This just in from a FishbowlDC tipster: “Another and bigger White House goof: White House photographers were in the East Room for an arts event and missed the brief appearance by POTUS in the briefing room. This includes POOL photographers who weren’t given a heads up. Not good.”
