Why Washington D.C. Gossip Sucks

Today Politico CLICK brings us yet another example of using work that isn’t their own without adequate attribution. Not only was the White House Pool Report not given credit, which was clearly at least one of their sources of information even if just for description purposes, but the website that named the designer of first lady Michelle Obama‘s fitted black dress,, was given a wimpy one-word link. That word being “belt.” Read here.

This is quintessential CLICK. Make it seem as if you’ve gone to the ball when the glass slipper has long been tossed into the gutter. It’s not unseemly to write posts like these — bloggers aggregate all the time. But why not make it clear that that is what you’re doing?
