Witcover Calls Himself a ‘Wretch’

jwitcover.jpg
The Hill has a bunch of media gossip this week, including a dining faux pas at last week’s WPCF dinner and NBC’s Tim Russert milking the outgoing DNC Macker for seven g’s.

One item of interest is that political guru Jules Witcover is wrapping up work on his latest book, and finds himself in the unlikely position of competing for tome attention with his wife, who is finishing a ten-year biography of H.L. Mencken.

Deciding that he would maximize the use of cliches, Witcover’s forthcoming memoir is entitled, “The Making of an Ink-Stained Wretch: A Half-Century with the Boys on the Bus.”
