    We’re excited to announce that Jane Black, an accomplished food journalist, is joining the Post as a staff writer for the Food section. Jane, who grew up in DC and has family here, has most recently been food editor at Boston Magazine. She has also been a prolific freelance writer, covering trends and writing profiles for The New York Times, Food and Wine, and other publications. Jane has a strong background in business journalism, news and multimedia, having been a staff writer at BusinessWeek Online, BBC News Online, and CNET News. A professionally trained chef, she is fluent in Italian and proficient in French, and she is a frequent television and radio commentator on food issues.

    She is a 1995 graduate of Tufts University in Boston and a 2004 graduate of Leiths School of Food and Wine in London. She will join The Post on June 25.
