American Apparel Is Back With Pubic Vengeance

Judging strictly from the horrendous press it has received in the past few months, American Apparel might as well blow up its factory and give its spandex away to the homeless. The company is done for.

But the Downtown LA-based company is still kicking. Its stock has more than doubled since hitting a low of 66 cents a share this past August. And CEO Dov Charney must be feeling confident. Because his company has unleashed a new wave of pubic hair-centric ads into the media market. Not sure how this is possible, but the giant bush you see to the right somehow comes across as more tasteful than the company’s previous ads–which relied heavily on crotch shots of nubile, spandex-clad, extremely young models.

Not that we’re complaining.
