Andy Richter and James Adomian Shilling for Laughs
This video is funny…more disturbing. We like debates that don’t end in murder. Just us? Anyway, this is Andy Richter and James Adomian. Directed and Edited by Peter Atencio. Written by James Adomian.
So we were curious what the ad agency that does all of Nissan’s campaigns would think of this faux spot. And we got this back:
Dear Tina,
Everyone at TBWA\Chiat\Day wants to thank you for your interest and support.
With respect to the idea you forwarded to our office, we unfortunately have a policy (prompted by, I hate to say, our lawyers) that does not permit us to either review or accept unsolicited advertising, marketing or promotional ideas or materials. Once it is recognized that the purpose of any correspondence represents an unsolicited idea, they get forwarded to me without reviewing and I’m the guy with the unenviable position of having to tell people I am returning their ideas without reviewing them and that we aren’t keeping any copies.
Please do not interpret this as a rejection of the value of these ideas — we love the enthusiasm for our advertising.
Sincerely,
Neal Grossman
Chief Operating Officer
TBWA\Chiat\Day – Los Angeles
We got rejection letter? Geez. It just never fails to sting.
