Bettie Page, Dead at 85

Bettie_Page222.gif The icon best known for being a bondage/fetish model in the 1950′s died yesterday. Bettie Page was 85 years old and in poor health for the past couple of years.

Bettiepage.com servers are having difficulty keeping up with the onslaught of traffic. But the NSFW site has a note from her agent Mark Roesler:

She captured the imagination of a generation of men and women with her free spirit and unabashed sensuality. She is the embodiment of beauty.

There are, of course, a lot of fan sites out there. A couple that have confused Bettie Page photos with Gretchen Mol. Well…they’re fans. Not specifically of Bettie Page…but fans.
