Breaking: Villaraigosa Announces He Will Not Run for Governor

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa went on Wolf Blitzer‘s The Situation Room on CNN and announced he will not seek higher office, stating, “I can’t leave this city in the middle of a crisis.”
Maybe someone told him that the journos in Sacramento are not as hot as the ones in LA. It’s a factor for us…
Anyway, Villaraigosa seemed tired; his voice hoarse and cracking. He didn’t seem thrilled about his decision. In fact, he talked very little about Los Angeles, strangely (in a video we will post when we get it) he talked about the rancid state of California and not about his task at hand – the equally rancid and impossiblly gridlocked state of LA.
