Carjacking Suspect Killed by LAPD on Live TV
Car chase fans got quite the exciting ending Thursday night when TV cameras were rolling during a tragic end in a bizarre pursuit.
The reported 40-year-old carjacking suspect pulled into a Shell gas station shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Wilshire Blvd. in Koreatown. With an innocent bystander pumping gas just feet away, LAPD officers opened fire on the late model Saturn, killing the suspect in the process — live on KCAL 9.
While I understand anything can happen on live TV, KCAL 9 followed that up with multiple slow-motion replays of the shooting. A bit excessive, no?
