Tahoe Daily Tribune to Only Publish 3 Days a Week

tribune-front-page.jpg

AP reports:

The Tahoe Daily Tribune will reduce its days of publication from five to three effective Feb. 2 due to increases in the cost of newsprint and the sour national economy, its publisher said in Friday’s edition.

The paper founded in 1958 and now owned by the Reno-based Swift Communications will be published on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays instead of the current schedule of Monday through Friday,’ publisher Mary Jurkonis said.

Vincent De Paul…Describes What It’s Like to Know Mad Men

SAG AWARSMad Men John hamm Vincent.jpg

Pictured are Vincent De Paul, Tommy Alastra, Jennifer Westfeldt and John Hamm at this year’s SAG Awards.

De Paul is a busy guy and well, it’s really nice to talk to someone that’s super busy working…mainly because they keep us on the phone less than you unemployeds. Geesh.

Anyway, son of Baltimore morticians, De Paul is slated to be in two upcoming films. One called Baby Jane? directed by Billy Clift to film in San Fransisco. The other is a vampire movie titled Raven to be directed by Gregori J. Martin.

People ask De Paul about John Hamm’s success and De Paul told FBLA,”He’s the quintessential all American great guy. He should be on the cover of every magazine.”

The End of Day to Day: The Video

NPR’s Day to Day is going…do you call it dark? Dead? Silent?…On March 20th. This video features Madeleine Brand and Alex Cohen talking about losing their jobs.

We’re going to go give what we earn for this post to KPCC while we’re thinking about it. Serious.

According to Poll, FBLA Readers Are a Bunch of Emos

superbowlpoll.jpg

When we asked you what was the best thing about the Super Bowl yesterday, very few mentioned ‘football’ as one of them. Not to challenge anyone’s manhood or patriotism…we’re just saying…our readers are a little un-American, proudly apathetic and on a good day elliptical machine hogs.

There. We said it.

Oh and if you care (which we already know the answer to that) our sister blog AgencySpy will be live tweeting the event with the tag #sbads09.
