When the rambunctious and always entertaining film critic Devin Faraci announced recently that he was leaving CHUD.com for a new venture, much speculation ensued. This week, we learned the name of the next home of this Zach Galifianakis dead ringer: Badass Digest, a content website launched in partnership with Austin’s Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas.
Joining Faraci at Badass are some familiar names: Hollywood-Elsewhere.com contributor Moisés Chiullan; former Cinevegas artistic director Roger Erik Tinch; and Alamo Drafthouse principals Tim League and Henri Mazza.
Springing from the movie-loving culture of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas, Badass Digest is putting the fun back in being a nerd. We know that people who love movies also love travel, good beer, tasty food, cool clothes and keeping up with the weirdest, craziest corners of pop culture… Badass Digest is there finding the best and most interesting for the bad ass generation.
Congrats to Faraci. Couldn’t happen to a wackier guy.
