Ed Begley Jr. Kick Starts Environmental Web Series

Kickstarter.com works for celebrities, too. Actor Ed Begley Jr. and his wife Rachelle Carson-Begley have successfully raised $25,000 for a Web series project titled On Begley Street. The occasionally “laugh out loud” program will document the couple’s efforts to build one of North America’s greenest and most sustainable homes.

In the Kickstarter Q&A, the Studio City residing pair answer the very valid question, “Why do Hollywood and TV stars need funding?”

All money raised will go to the marketing and distribution of the Web series and the creation of this new online venue for social good entertainment. If we hit our $25,000 funding goal, we’re matching it with our own $25,000. The impact of your donations will be effectively doubled.

The show will feature the couple’s 11-year-old daughter Hayden and various drop-by celebrity friends. It’s scheduled to be completed by August.
