HOOPSWORLD senior writer Eric Pincus was hired by the Los Angeles Times to cover the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2012-13 NBA season.

Pincus, who has spent  the last 10 years with the basketball site, will still contribute to HOOPSWORLD despite his new gig.

“The transition will take place over the coming weeks but know that HOOPSWORLD will still provide incredible coverage of all things Lakers,” Pincus wrote on Thursday. “I’ve been with the site for about ten years and I’ve watched it grow from not much more than an idea to the best NBA destination on the web. The good news is that I’ll remain a part of the HOOPSWORLD family. My responsibilities will shift, but I’ll still be able to contribute regularly to the site.”
