Freelancer Michael Hastings Shakes Up Military Brass
In case you have not heard the story, Michael Hastings a freelancer and True/Slant blogger got exclusive access to General Stanley McChrystal for a profile in Rolling Stone. The General talked trash about the current administration. The White House Press Corp asked their boiler plate question about the status of the President’s anger. Now McChrystal has offered his resignation. He has been called to the White House for a meeting tomorrow.

The point is: the profile is a damn fine piece of journalism and reporting. Plus this is a win for freelance journalists everywhere. Way to score some respect for those without a staff position! Woo!
