Gabriel Rotello : A la Recherche du Temps Perdu on the West Side
Outweek founder and World of Wonder alum Gabriel Rotello waxed nostalgia for the New York of the 70s/80s, and the life that late he led there. Learning that the West Side building that held his loft will be torn down, Rotello writes:
I thought of dead friends for whom this little world had been their final world. It seemed as if I could make a few phone calls and pull together a rehearsal and no time would have passed at all, except that in the world outside, no one would have answered the phone.
Outweek lasted for two years, and was brave, scrappy, and influential way beyond its circulation numbers, outing Malcom Forbes and running Michelangelo Signorile‘s Gossip Watch column.
And we should have known: Rotello writes for HuffPost.
