If We Did It … It Would Have Been Done A Month Ago
GalleyCat has this delightful bit of schadenfreude: HarperCollins is deleting the ReganBooks name and logo and will close the LA office on March 1.
OJ Simpson didn’t kill Judith Regan’s imprint — she did plenty to seal that coffin herself. But his imaginary confession “tell-all” didn’t help.
An interim logo, HC, will appear on Regan books through this summer, after which the list will be reassigned to existing Harper imprints.
From GalleyCat:
“Publishers Marketplace adds that many LA staffers, including Cal Morgan, executive managing editor/senior editor Cassie Jones; marketing director Gregg Sullivan; and senior art director Richard Ljoenes will return to New York and join the Harper staff there. Suzanne Wickham will stay on in LA as publicity director.”
