Jamie McCourt Now Supports Media Rights Auction

Monday was a big day for Frank and Jamie McCourt, as the two confirmed their divorce settlement after months of public humiliation.

As part of the settlement, Jamie McCourt received $130 million and relinquished her share of the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to the Los Angeles Times.

In addition to her big payday, Jamie McCourt now supports the proposed auction of the team’s media rights. A spokesman for Frank McCourt released the following statement Monday:

“Frank McCourt and Jamie McCourt are pleased to announce that they have settled their divorce case. The terms of the settlement, which are already in effect, will remain private. Jamie will be withdrawing her opposition to the Dodgers proposed sale of media rights and instead will be filing papers in support of the process proposed by the Dodgers.”

U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Kevin Gross will decide the ultimate fate of the Dodgers. All of Los Angeles (minus Frank McCourt) is rooting for the team to be put up for sale.

Regardless of the outcome, this is the last we should hear about Jamie McCourt for a long, long time.
