Jim Rome Will Be Busy at CBS

Jim Rome is officially leaving ESPN for a new gig on the CBS Sports Network. Rome had chairman of CBS Sports Sean McManus on his radio show today to speak about the details of the new deal. And it sounds like they plan on working Rome to death.

Not only will Rome bring his weekday TV show to CBS Sports Network, he will be involved in live football, Final Four, and U.S. Open tennis coverage. McManus also says the bank vault is open for Rome to become Showtime’s “marquis sports property.”

Expect to see Rome heavily featured in this year’s Super Bowl coverage. His TV show, meanwhile, will make its CBS debut on April 3.
