KCRW has added DJ Valida to its Sunday crew on “The Lab.” She joins Marion Hodges and Jason Kramer on a rotating Sunday schedule. More on Valida from the press release.

Originally from Sarajevo, Valida fled a heavily conflicted Bosnia to pursue higher education in the US. She founded her first club night in LA in 2001 and was dubbed by LA.com as “one of the most important figures in L.A.’s nightlife scene” by 2006. Her worldliness is reflected in her varied music selections, a seamless blend of everything imaginable. She continues to tour the world as a DJ, including gigs in Paris, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, Tokyo, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Barbados, and her native Bosnia.

Valida hosts School Night on Monday’s at Bardot in Hollywood and also performs at both Standard hotels in LA.
