LA Times Is Having Kittens!
Well, had. Earlier this month, a cat and her six kittens were discovered in the basement* of the LA Times parking garage. A kindhearted employee took the family in, got them medical care, and of course made them a Facebook page.
Now the kittens and their mother are looking for permanent homes. The kittens would prefer to be adopted in pairs, but the mom is okay with flying solo. Detailed profiles and lots of photos can be found on Facebook. There is an adoption fee, cause all those vet bills have a way of adding up.

* We were going to insert a joke here about journalists also living in the LAT basement but decided against it because A) It could conceivably happen and B) They’re impossible to litter-box train.
