DGA Strikes A (Quasi) Deal: The deal basically calls the writers silly for wanting to settle the whole Internet issue now — rather than on an arbitrarily chosen date of 2011. On a positive note, the studios say they’re open to talking to the writers again. Key line: “If the WGA rejects the basic concepts of a DGA deal, there’s going to be a great deal of dissatisfaction among the membership,” said Dick Wolf, creator and executive producer of the Law & Order TV shows. “The bottom line here is: This town should be back to work in three weeks.”
