LAT Scribes Blankstein and Rubin on 24 Hours Mystery

Joel Rubin and Andrew Blankstein of the LA Times were consultants on a 24 Hours Mystery episode that aired over the weekend. The show was about LAPD’s Stephanie Lazarus who has been accused of murdering her ex-boyfriends wife 23 years ago.

How was it working on the show for a crime reporter? If you watch the episode the two journos, of course, are hanging out at the beach being interviewed. “It’s always nice to get that proverbial LA shot,” Blankstein told FBLA. He told us the show kind of made his job look cool. As if sitting at the courthouse all day when you’re not a lawyer or a criminal could possibly not seem cool. Pshaw!
