Maxim Opts for ‘Hot 100′ Ringer
Even though the Maxim Hot 100 issue gives the publication’s editors, yes, one hundred beautiful gals to choose from, guess what? The silhouetted figure selected to adorn the inside section cover page is not one of them.
It’s not quite on the level of the Natalie Portman-Black Swan body double scandal. Still, per an exclusive E! Online blurb by Ted Casablanca and Aly Weisman, an uncredited Maryland model wants to make sure the world knows that those James Bond opening sequence-worthy contours are hers:
“I want people to realize it’s me!” Krista Mills reveals to E! exclusively. “It seems everyone thinks it’s Rosie Huntington-Whitely! I love her but that cover shot is me. People are reporting it’s her, but it’s not.”
Mills, who shot the cover in mid-March with photographer Antoine Verglas in his New York City studio for a rate much lower than Huntington-Whitely’s, tells us that Maxim‘s team was at the shoot, and “they were all going crazy for the pictures.”
When the magazine issue hits newsstands, Cameron Diaz (#4) will be on the cover. Should the world’s 100 hottest female silhouettes be insulted by the Mills move? Probably.
