Meg Whitman’s Final ‘Screw You’ to the Press
Billionaire Meg Whitman was declared the loser in her bid for governor of California at 9:30 PST. Jerry Brown was set to make his speech in Oakland at the Fox Theater at 10pm PST. Then we received word that Whitman will not concede until 75% of the votes are counted. Now this means all the hard working members of the press have to stay sober longer in order to file a somewhat coherent…something.
So in a campaign pocked by tense moments with the press…here’s another one. As of this posting, only 27% of the votes are counted and Brown’s lead continues to grow.
Yeah, it’s been a long night, but Meg, it wasn’t even close.
